Warrior mask of the Bwa people with a zoomorphic superstructure.

Uses were said to include performing tutelary duties and for preparing men as warriors. Once victorious, mask was also used for victory celebrations. Its tutelary duties included reinforcing moral and ethical teachings to initiates, and reminding them of their ongoing responsibility to the community at large.
