Marriage Beads - Nka. 162

Oral history informs us that marriage beads originated from Europe and exchanged for goods. It was popularized by West Africans and to this day, western tourists prefer to obtain theirs from the West African region. Authentic ones are difficult to come by. This one is strung with sand stones, the traditional way.
